jenny sommervell

On Tuesday 28 of August an author called Jenny Sommervell came to Awahono School. She writes about her childhood. She wrote The Day Dad Blow up the Cowshed, The New Old Truck and the Eel Hunt. she has two illustrators. I learnt that it takes a lot of time to finish the book.

    Hi Fred, I remember hearing Jennifer Sommervell saying it took 18 months to finish one of her books, which is a long time. Can you imagine working on your writing for that long?
    Which was your favourite book?
    By the way, I think she had two editors and she just had one illustrator, her sister.
